Summer Term 1 2019 - Gorillas
Welcome back, I trust that you have all had a lovely spring break and that you're ready and raring to go for another action packed half term. This is our class page and here you will find information relating to our learning throughout the year.
In writing this term, Snowy Owl's will be looking at a narrative by Anhthony Browne called 'Gorilla' and will be writing their own narratives based on this heart warming story. Our on going topic this term is centered around our geography topic 'Gorillas' and will see the children explore a number of different writing genres, whilst demonstrating their developing geographical knowledge. During geography his half term, the children will be looking at the physical features of Rwanda as well as learning how to read and use features of maps. They will be looking at an insprational woman in science Diane Fossey and will be writing a biography about her work.
Homework expectations and the use of reading diaries and school routines were detailed during the meet the teacher evening.
