Snowy Owls - Year 3/4 2019 - 2020
Autumn Term 2019 - Stone Age to the Iron Age
Welcome back! I hope you have all had an enjoyable break and are ready for a fantastic Term in Snowy Owls. Autumn Term brings us lots of interesting learning and exciting experiences, that I am sure you will all enjoy.
In English, our focus text is the fantastic book ‘The Bear and the Piano’. This book will expore the journey of a bear, linking to our whole school trip to Chester Zoo where we will have the opportunity to observe an Andean Bear in real life. We will also research Andean bears and learn about why they are endangered and the fantastic support the Andean Bear project is providing for this species. As historians we will continue to explore the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. Our learning about these periods of time will help us answer our Historical enquiry question ‘How did Britain change from the Stone Age to the Iron Age’. I am extremely excited to see the outcomes of learning that have been planned around this topic.
An electronic spelling and maths homework will be set on a Friday and due in the following Wednesday.
To keep up to date with what is happening in our class, please make sure you regularly check our school's Twitter feed and our class blog.
