Tawny Owls - Year 4 2019 - 2020
Welcome back! I hope you have had a relaxing and restful summer break and are ready and raring to go for Year 4! I cannot wait to start the new term as it is full of so many exciting learning opportunities!
This term, in our English lessons, we will be looking at the idea of ‘Journeys’ looking at Francesca Sanna’s wonderful book ‘The Journey’. This will give us some great writing opportunities such as Narrative story writing and Diary entries. We will also be looking at a number of texts relating to the Stone age through to the Iron Age. This will help us answer our Historical enquiry question ‘How did Britain change from the Stone to the Iron Age?’ Our Art will link to this too as we discover cave paintings and create our own.
Homework will be set on a Friday and is to be completed by the following Wednesday. All homework will be electronic and expected to be completed on time. Logins for sites will be given out the first week back.
I look forward to seeing you at the ‘meet the teacher’ evening on Wednesday 4th September at 3:30 – 4.00pm, where I will be going through details such as homework, P.E, curriculum and school routines.

I hope you are as excited as I am for a great half term!
