Tawny Owls - Year 4 2019 - 2020
Welcome back! I hope you have had a relaxing and restful break and are ready and raring to go for another term of Year 4! I cannot wait to start the new term as it is full of so many exciting learning opportunities!
This term, in our English lessons, we will be focussing on the text ' A boy and a Jaguar' this is a true story all about a boy's relationship with animals and how it helped him overcome his fears. We will be using this to write some poetry, descriptive writing and persuasive letters. This will link to our whole school trip to Chester Zoo as well as linking out French and R.E. We will also be looking at the ecosystem that Jaguars live in and the food chain that they belong to in our Science lessons. In History we will be continuing to answer our question ‘How did Britain change from the Stone to the Iron Age?’. This half term we will be focussing on the Bronze and Iron Age.
Homework will be set on a Friday and is to be completed by the following Wednesday. All homework will be electronic and expected to be completed on time. Logins for sites will be given out the first week back.
