Homework

At Cuddington Primary, we believe homework should be meaningful, manageable and purposeful, supporting children to build on what they are learning in school. Our core focus is on daily reading, which helps develop a love of books, confidence and fluency. Alongside this, children are encouraged to practise their phonics and spellings to strengthen key literacy skills.

To support maths learning, we use Doodle Maths and Times Tables Rockstars, which make practice fun, engaging and tailored to each child’s level. Homework is carefully planned to consolidate learning, promote independence and move children’s learning forward, while keeping a healthy balance with family life and wellbeing.
