Skylark's Visit to Crown Farm Nature Reserve

Skylarks enjoyed their visit with Cheshire Wildlife Trust to Crown Farm Nature Reserve. This visit aimed to develop the children's understanding of their locality and the importance around caring for our environment. The children undertook an active day outdoors, learning about the plant and animal life in the local reserve.  Activities included identifying native trees from their leaves and creating their native woodland crowns, pond dipping and learning about the Great Crested Newt.  Thank you to the parents and Mrs Boot for supporting us on our visit and to Cheshire Wildlife Trust for sharing with us the history of the quarry and the development of the site for nature.
