Create Learning Trust
Welcome to the Governors’ page of Cuddington Primary’s website. My name is Rose Marsden and I am the current Chair of Cuddington Primary’s Local Academy Board (LAB) of governors.
Cuddington Primary is one of three local founding schools of Create Learning Multi Academy Trust formed in October 2019.
In my role as Chair, I work closely with the Headteacher and the other LAB governors who are drawn from parents, staff and the community to ensure that the expectations of Create Learning Multi Academy Trust are met as follows:
- To ensure the best possible educational experience for Cuddington‘s pupils of all abilities, in accordance with the vision of Create Learning Multi Academy Trust
- To monitor provision and challenge the performance of Cuddington Primary
- To maintain the individual identity and status of Cuddington Primary
What do Cuddington LAB Governors do?
Our main objective is that by adhering to Cuddington Primary’s three core values of Respect, Collaborate and Aspire Cuddington Primary provides all of its children with the highest possible standard of education, delivered through an exciting, creative, broad and balanced curriculum in a safe and happy environment.
We monitor closely the school’s budget to ensure the very best outcomes and value for money.
Governors have a strategic role, but we do not ‘run’ the school on a day to day basis, as this is the Headteacher’s responsibility, and, as unpaid volunteers, we are not part of the school’s staff. However, we do form part of the school’s management team, which is led by the Head teacher and we are ultimately accountable to Create Learning Academy Trust

Members of Cuddington’s LAB act as link champions for the school and feedback to the Trust on matters of finance, quality of education, early years, special educational needs, safeguarding and health and safety.
