Twisted Tales Writing Exhibition

Date: 4th Dec 2018 @ 7:36pm

Last half term, Macaws looked at 'twisted' fairy tales in English as part of a whole school writing project. The children read 'The Lost Happy Endings' by Carol Ann Duffy and wrote interesting character descriptions.

Macaws also wrote poetry inspired by the Song of the Witches: “Double, double toil and trouble”
written by William Shakespeare.

They created fitting artwork with charcoal, oil pastels and ink.

Did you know Macaws also made the background for the display in the entrance hall?
The children used tape, inks, black paint and salt.

Here are some pictures, incase you haven't had the chance to see the display in our entrance hall yet.
Stop by and read our fantastic writing!
