Macaws, Puffins and Toucans visited the Weaver Hall Museum & Workhouse, on Friday 7th December.
The children excavated the burial site of a warrior and worked out what the artefacts tell us about Viking culture.

The children made their own Viking warrior chess piece based on some famous examples featuring kings and berserkers.
The children met resident Viking Olaf, who told them tales of adventure during his travels and how to mint coins.
That chain mail weighed 15 kg!
We learnt about the fearsome weapons and the heavy armour the Vikings wore.
We are ready for battle!
